Saxton Well Service, Inc. got its start back in 1933. Ray H. Saxton started drilling water wells in this area with a drilling rig that he made himself.

In 1959, Ray H. Saxton’s son, Hubert E. Saxton, took over the business. Hubert started installing Gould’s pumps and also installing tanks. He built up the drilling business for the Tionesta / Forest County areas and also into the surrounding areas of Venango, Crawford, Warren, and Clarion county’s.

Then in 1995, Ray H. Saxton, Hubert’s son bought the business. He continues to serve Forest, Warren, Crawford, Clarion, Venango, and elk county’s. Ray also continues to install Gould’s pumps and does complete water hook-up. He covers an area of a 40 mile radius from Tionesta. Ray maintains 2 drilling rigs, 2 work trucks and a service truck.

At the present time, Saxton Well Service, Inc. employs 3 full-time employees and 1 part-time employee. One of our employees is our daughter, Karen, who is the 4th generation of Saxton’s who hopes to carry on the business one day.
